Sitting arrangement questions in verbal reasoning are some of the important questions that are asked in most of the competitive exams. Some of the candidates finds it more difficult to solve this types of questions and also takes a lot of time to solve the sitting arrangement questions which is not desired because the candidates are given very limited time to solve all the questions given in the exams. Sitting arrangement problems are the important part of verbal reasoning section in competitive exams. The trick described here is the shortcut method to solve sitting arrangement questions in reasoning for exams.

There are basically two types of sitting arrangement questions are given in the exams.
1.       Linear row arrangement or straight line arrangement
2.       Circular or hexagonal or square arrangement
In linear row arrangement Problems, the persons are sitting in a single row or in multiple rows or we can say sitting in a straight line facing east or west or north or south. And in circular or hexagonal or square arrangement questions, the persons are sitting as per the name of the arrangement suggests.
Here is an example of sitting arrangement questions.

Q: Six persons are sitting in a circular row facing the centre. Avinash is to the left of prakash. Sunil is between anil and parveen. Rakesh is between avinash and anil. Who is to the left of parveen?


The  trick to solution is that you have to connect the information provided in the question step by step. find out the common person (same person) of whom the multiple points of sitting are given. For example, try to find out all the point given about avinash and then connect them.
