Explanations to difficult questions:

Questions from 6-10 should be solved using BODMAS rule. That will easily clear them in seconds.

1. Let Cost Price be Rs. x

and Selling Price be Rs. y.

forming the equation as per question, we get

Then, 3(y - x) = (2y - x)

y = 2x.

Profit = Rs. (y - x)

= Rs. (2x - x)

= Rs. x.

Profit % = (x/x) x 100 %

So Profit = 100%

2. Let Cost Price of each article be Re. 1

Then C.P. of x articles = Rs. x.

Also Selling Price of x articles = Rs. 20.

Profit = Rs. (20 - x).

(20 - x)/x * 100 = 25

2000 - 100x = 25x

125x = 2000

So x = 16.

3. C's one day work = (1/3)-[(1/6)+(1/8)] = 1/24

So A's wages : B's wages : C's wages = (1/6):(1/8): (1/24) = 4:3:1

So C's will be paid (for his 3 days work) = 3*(1/24)*3200 = 400

4. A's 1 day work = 1/20

So A's 2 day work will be = 2/20 = 1/10

5. Let actual distance travelled be = x km

then as per question,

x/10 = (x+20)/14

14x = 10x+200

x = 50 km

4. A's 1 day work = 1/20
