  • The probationary officer exam is Objective type i.e it consists of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • The test will be conducted online in venues across centres in India.
  • Total 200 questions will be asked from various sections i.e. Reasoning, English, QA and GA. Each question will carry 1 mark.
  • Time duration of the test will be 2 Hours.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 % for every wrong answer.

There will be sectional cut off as well as overall cut off.
The candidates are required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing marks, in each of the tests, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level for each category.
Wrong answers given by a candidate will attract 1/4 negative marks for the online test. Along with the call letters, information handout and a sample test shall also be uploaded on the site which candidates can take to familiarize themselves with the nature of Test & Questions.

Syndicate Bank PO Interview

The aggregate marks of qualified candidates in the Objective Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 4 times the number of vacancies declared for each category, will be called for Group Discussion and/or Interview as decided by the Bank. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion and/or Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
