Telangana Police SI Syllabus 2016

Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) is going to organize a Preliminary Examination for SubInspector posts. The selection is to be done on the basis of Preliminary written test, Physical Test and Main / final examination. Here you can check the complete syllabus of Telangana Police (TSLPRB) SI Pre and Main exam.

Telangana Police SI Pre Exam Syllabus

Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in one paper (three hours duration).
TSLPRB SI Pre exam have a total of 200 multiple choice objective type questions and 200 marks are assigned to it.
Questions will be asked from following :
Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability - 100 Questions.
General Studies - 100 Questions.

Here is the complete TSLPRB SI syllabus of these sections.

Arithmetic: It will include questions on problems relating to number system, simple
interest, compound interest, ratio & proportion, average, percentage, profit & loss, time & work, work & wages, time & distance, clocks & calendars, partnership, menstruation etc.

Test of Reasoning: It will include questions of both verbal & non-verbal type and include question on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc.

General Studies Syllabus :
1. General Science - contemporary developments in science and technology and their
implications including matters of everyday observation and experience, contemporary
issues relating to protection of environment as may be expected of a well educated
person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline.
2. Current events of national and international importance.
3. History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in
its social, economic, cultural and political aspects. Indian National Movement.
4. Geography of India
5. Indian Polity and Economy – including the Country’s political system, rural
development, planning and economic reforms in India.
6. Telangana Movement and State Formation - The idea of Telangana (1948-1970),
Mobilization phase (1971-1990), towards formation of Telangana State (1991-2014)


Questions in the Paper will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu
and Urdu languages.

Note : The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the
Preliminary Written Test in the paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for
SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen.

Those who qualify Preliminary Written Test (PWT) will have to appear for Physical Test (PMT/PET).

Final Written examination : Those candidates who qualify Physical Measurement test / physical efficiency test will have to appear for Final / main examination.

Telangana Police SI Main Exam Syllabus

The final examination have four papers (each of three hours duration) as given below.
1. Paper 1 will have 200 questions from Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability.

Post Code Nos. 11 & 17 - 200
Post Code Nos. 12 to 14 & 16 - 100.

TSLPRB SI Mains Paper 1 Syllabus:

2. Paper 2 is also objective type and have 200 questions from General Studies.

Post Code Nos. 12 to 14 & 16 - 100.

Telangana Police Syllabus 2016 for SI Final Exam paper 2:
1. General Science - contemporary developments in science and technology and their

6. Personality test (the questions will be from Ethics, Sensitivity to Gender and weaker
sections, social awareness, Emotional Intelligence)
7. Telangana Movement and State Formation - The idea of Telangana (1948-1970),
Mobilization phase (1971-1990), towards formation of Telangana State (1991-2014)

3. Paper 3 will be descriptive type and have 100 questions from English.

Post Code Nos. 11 & 17 - 100
Post Code Nos. 12 to 14 & 16 - 100.

Telangana Police Syllabus for SI Final Exam paper 3:
The candidate’s understanding of the English language, its correct usage and their
writing ability would be tested. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter
writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from English to Telugu etc. would be
included.

4. Paper 4 will be descriptive type and have 100 questions from Telugu/Urdu.
Max marks :
Post Code Nos. 11 & 17 - 100
Post Code Nos. 12 to 14 & 16 - 100.

Telangana Police Subinspector Final Exam Paper 3 Syllabus:
The candidates can choose to have one of the languages i.e., either Telugu or Urdu
and should indicate their choice as and when asked for by the recruiting authority. Option once exercised will be final and a candidate will not be allowed to change it subsequently.

Telugu:
The candidate’s understanding of the Telugu language, its correct usage and their
writing ability would be tested. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter
writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from Telugu to English etc. would be included.

Urdu:
The candidate’s understanding of the Urdu language, its correct usage and their
writing ability would be tested. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter
writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from Urdu to English etc. would be included.

Questions in Papers I and II will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages.

Note :
Papers III and IV are qualifying in nature for the post code nos. 12 to 14 &
16 only and the marks secured in these papers i.e., III & IV will not be taken into account for final selection.
