The institute had invited online applications for which the last date to apply was 12 September 2016. The Common written examination (CWE) VI is to be held on various dates in November / December 2016. The test for these posts is objective type and there will be Pre & mains exam. The online exam comprise of General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude, Computer awareness, Professional knowledge and English language. Release date: Main Exam admit cards is available from 17.12.2016.
Important dates:

  • Release of admit card for Pre- Exam Training: 25.10.2016 to 07.11.2016
  • Conduct of Pre-Exam Training: 07.11.2016 to 12.11.2016
  • Download of IBPS Clerk Pre Exam Admit card: 10.11.2016 on wards
  • IBPS Clerk Pre Exam Date 2016: Clerk Preliminary Examination 2016 (CWE - V) will be held on following dates. 26 & 27.11.2016, 03.12.2016 & 04.12.2016 (if required)
  • Result of Pre exam: December 2016
  • IBPS Clerk Main Exam Admit card release date - December 2016.
  • Clerk Main Examination 2016 will be held on 31.12.2016 & 01.01.2017.
  • Provisional Allotment: April 2017.
The exam consist of Pre and Main exam followed by Interview. Those who qualify in all these stages will be selected as Clerks in the bank.

Please note that candidates will not be permitted to appear for the CWE (Preliminary as well as Main Examination) without the following documents:
(1) Valid IBPS Clerk Hall Ticket / Call Letter
(2) Valid Photo-identity proof in original bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter/ application form and
(3) Photocopy of photo-identity proof
Candidates reporting late i.e. after the reporting time specified on IBPS Clerk admit card 2016 for Examination will not be permitted to take the examination. candidates may be required to be at the venue for
about 3 hours including the time required for completion of various formalities such as verification and collection of documents, giving of instructions.

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score, as explained above, to be considered to be shortlisted for Main exam. Those who clear mains will have to appear for interview.

The marks obtained in the main exam, will be considered for shortlisted in interview. Pre exam marks will not be counted.

This exam will consist of 3 stages i.e. Pre & main exam followed by Interview. Those who qualify in all these stages will be selected as Clerk in the bank as per their choice filled. Interviews were held by IBPS commonly for all the banks
