No. of vacancies to be filled using WB TET 2017:

Last time, WB government had filled around 30,000 vacancies as teachers of primary schools of the state.

Application fee: Rs. 100 (Rs. 25 for SC/ST/PH)

Apply for WBTET 2017: To apply in response to WB TET 2017 Notification, 12th with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC) and 2 year diploma in D.El.Ed.
or
12th with at least 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC) and 4 year diploma in B.El.Ed.
or
12th with at least 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC) and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised by RCI.
Candidates have to complete a 2 year teachers’ training programme.

WB TET 2017 Exam date

Currently the date of examination had not been decided.

The teacher eligibility test is of objective type and of 1 and ½ hours duration. It has 150 questions carrying 150 marks with no negative marking. Qualified candidates of this test will become eligible for primary teacher posts in the schools of the state.
