APTET Exam Pattern Question Structure Weightage Qualifying marks
Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) is conducted by School Education Department, Govt of Andhra Pradesh. The exam date is fixed on 10-12 June for Paper 1 and 13-21 June 2018 for Paper 2. APTET 2018 will be conducted through Computer Based Test in Paper-I & Paper-II (A) & (B).

Paper 1 is for candidate who intends to be teachers for classes I to V. Paper 2 is for candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII and also intends to be teachers (Language Pandits for VI-VIII have to appear for paper-II (A). The candidate who intends to be teachers (Physical education) have to appear for the examination under Paper II (B). The candidates who intends to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for all papers, i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II (A) & (B), as per requisite qualifications.

APTET Exam Pattern 2018 Qualifying marks Paper Structure

APTET Exam consist of 150 questions in both paper 1 and 2 each.

Cut off Qualifying Marks in APTET:
i) OC: 60% Marks and above
ii) BC: 50% Marks and above
iii) SC/ ST/ Differently abled
 (PH) & Ex-servicemen: 40% Marks and above.

Validity: 7 years.

APTET Exam Pattern for Both Papers:
No. of questions in each paper: 150
No. of marks in each paper: 150
Time allowed: 2 hours 30 minutes

Paper 1:
30 questions will be asked each from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II (English), Mathematics, Environmental Studies.

Paper 2A:
30 Questions each from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II (English) and 60 questions from (a) For Mathematics & Science Teachers:
(b) For Social Studies Teacher
(c) For any other Teacher – Either
(iv)(a) or (iv)(b)

Paper 2B: 
30 Questions from Physical Education Pedagogy, 10 questions from Language I, 10 questions from Language II (English) and 100 questions from Physical Education (Content). 30 marks for Incentive Marks for Meritorious Sports Candidates.

There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
